Barcelona get ready for referendum to approve loan of €1.5bn
The Blaugrana revealed that €200m will be generated in additional income for the Catalans by Espai Barca, and it may double upon the resolution of the naming rights for Camp Nou.
’s loan of €1.5bn will be paid in 35 years and the interest rate is going to depend on the market. They plan to finalize the financial details by the next summer and then start construction, with their goal being to finish the project by 2025.
For the first year of the work, the Blaugrana will feature at a restricted Camp Nou before making a move to another place for the second year. For the third and fourth year, it would be like the first. The proposal has shown that there are 67 more modern stadiums in Europe than Camp Nou, with 58 having been modernized. Seven out of nine stadiums in Spain with 40,000 capacities have been renovated.
