Xavi: Busquets is Barca’s thermometer
The Barcelona manager has praised the Spaniard for his “fundamental” role in the team.

Sergio Busquetswas selected to wear Barcelona’s captain armband. The experienced midfielder has continued his role as a key player in Barca’s midfield, maintaining a balance between the offensive and defensive phases of their game.
The newly-appointed Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez has praised his former teammate for his intelligence.
“He is the team’s thermometer, he is fundamental for me, as a coach, and as a captain.”
Busquets has featured in 647 matches for Barca’s senior team, scoring 16 goals and providing 41 assists. The Spaniard has won three Champions League titles, seven La Liga trophies, and eight Copa del Rey honours at the club.
