I told Allegri not to return to Juventus - Capello

Fabio Capello admitted that he recommended Massimiliano Allegri ignore a move back to the Bianconeri: ‘I knew he would become a scapegoat.’

Juventus

have been defeated four times this season. They lost the battles against

Sassuolo

and

Hellas Verona

consecutively and are 16 points behind

Napoli

and

Milan

who sit top of the Serie A table.

The Old Lady are in training retreat until the international break in November. They are getting ready to go against Zenit and Fiorentina this week.

Massimiliano Allegri

made a move back to Juventus over the summer, two years after being dismissed, but the season is not going the way it was expected to.

Ex-Bianconeri coach

Fabio Capello

admitted that he recommended Allegri ignore a return to Juventus.

I told him that he would have become the scapegoat for all problems,”

Capello told Radio Anch’io, as quoted by

Calciomercato.com

.

“I told him not to return. Juventus have a winning DNA, but right now, you can’t see it.

“Players are not doing what they should. Everybody thinks it’s the coach’s fault, but it’s not like this, it’s not easy to turn the situation around.”

Capello coached the club for two years, contributing to Serie A title wins twice. However, the titles Juve won under his reign were revoked following the Calciopoli scandal that resulted in the Bianconeri being relegated to Serie B.
