Tudor appointed as Hellas Verona coach

Hellas Verona appointed Igor Tudor as their new coach, following the dismissal of Eusebio Di Francesco this morning, having managed only three games into his tenure.

Hellas Verona

did not get off on the right foot this season, as they sit bottom of the Serie A season with three losses out of three matches.

Their run of defeats resulted in Di Francesco’s dismissal after arriving as Ivan Juric’s replacement over the summer.

Igor Tudor was part of Andrea Pirlo’s staff at the Bianconeri in the 2020-21 season and he has now returned to Italian top flight and penned a contract until June 2022.

The decision was unusual as he had been Hajduk Split, PAOK Salonika, Karabuskpor, Galatasaray and Udinese.

He had experience in Serie A, having coached Udinese for 25 matches.

The ex-Croatia international was also a player at Juventus and Siena before hanging up his boots in 2008 at Hajduk Split.

Tudor had also served as Igor Stimac’s assistant manager at Croatia national team.
