David Luiz has reached a verbal agreement with Flamengo

former defender, who was looking for a team in the recent months, has reached a verbal agreement with

and is close to moving to his home country after a successful career in different European clubs.

The Brazilian center-half has spent almost nine years in the Premier League in different spells and different clubs. At first, he joined Chelsea in 2011 from Benfica winning the Champions League and then rejoined them after a couple of years in

Paris Saint-Germain

, then he left the Blues in 2019 and joined Arsenal and played 73 times for them in the last two seasons.

The 34-year-old finally left the Gunners in July when his contract with the Premier League side expired and has been looking for a new side and has finally reached a verbal agreement with Flamengo and is about to return to his home country.

Although the former Brazil international had a successful spell with the Blues, he enjoyed his best form when he played for the Parisians alongside his teammate in the national team Thiago Silva, where he managed to win the domestic competition more than once.
