Roma and Lorenzo Pellegrini nowhere near an agreement

Lorenzo Pellegrini’s agent is set to meet Roma directors next week and according to the reports, the two parties are nowhere near an agreement, although, Jose Mourinho is pushing to extend the 25-year-old’s contract.

’s agent next week, according to both Sky Sport Italia and Il Corriere dello Sport.

His contract is going to expire in June and Il Corriere dello Sport claim

wants to extend the Italy international’s deal and Sky Sport Italia believe the two parties are nowhere near an agreement.

The 25-year-old has a €30 million release clause which will be taken out from his contract if the two parties reach an agreement.

Tottenham and Liverpool also were linked with the Italian midfielder over the summer.

Tottenham director Fabio Paratici has been admiring him for a long time and has already tried to sign him during his time at Juventus.

Jose Mourinho also admires him and has said that he is “so smart” he would “play three Pellegrini” had he had the chance.
