Goal

reports that

Manchester United

defender Diogo Dalot intends to stay at Old Trafford despite Borussia Dortmund's offer.

The right-back, who spent last season on loan at AC Milan and performed very well, played in all of Portugal's Under-21 competitions and progressed to the final with the team, as well as being selected for Euro 2020 by Fernando Santos.

During the pre-season, he impressed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and while the Norwegian coach was thinking about signin Kieran Trippier, the Portuguese defender finally persuaded him to come out of it. Dortmund were also rumored to be interested in signing Dalot, but the player is enjoying his time at Old Trafford and competing for the Red Devils squad.

The 22-year-old defender was unsure about his future until recently. In fact, he was able to perform well in the pre-season and attracted the attention of his head coach. After Ole Gunnar Sulscher took a positive view of him, Dalot changed his mind about leaving Manchester United and he intends to stay on the team.
