The coronavirus pandemic hit

Real Madrid

campaign, as two of the Los Blancos’ stars,

Karim Benzema

and Real’s new signing

David Alaba

, tested positive for coronavirus last week.

Real released a statement on their official website on Saturday, saying a third member of the squad,

Alvaro Odriozola

, has also tested positive for COVID-19 and shall soon start his self-isolation. However, it has not become clear whether the 25-year-old defender is asymptomatic or not.

There are also some concerns for Real boss Carlo Ancelotti's regarding widespread of the disease in Los Blancos’ campaign, since Odriozola and Alaba had both been training with the squad before testing positive for COVID-19.
