Barcelona to earn 35% of Rafinha sale by PSG

On 5 October 2020, he signed a three-year contract with the Paris Saint-German in a $1.65m transfer from Barcelona. Playing an important role in Thomas Tuchel’s side’s run to the Champions League final a couple of seasons ago, PSG are reportedly putting him on the market for a fee of €10m.

According to

AS

, the Blaugrana installed a 35% cut of any future transfer when they sold the Brazilian midfielder last summer. This means

Barcelona

would earn around €3.5m from his upcoming transfer.

Life in

Paris Saint-Germain

got tougher for the 28-year-old midfielder as he found opportunities harder to come by under Mauricio Pochettino than he did under Thomas Tuchel, who was sacked by the Parisians last season and was appointed as new Chelsea boss, where he won the club’s second Champions League in their history.

According to the reports, there are Serie A and the Premier League clubs chasing the Brazilian midfielder’s signature; Milan, Lazio, and Aston Villa are reported pursuers.

Rafinha was born on 12 February 1993

, in Sao Palo, Brazil to his mother Valeria and Mazinho. In addition to being big fans of football, Rafinha's parents are both athletes with a background in sports. Mazinho is a former footballer and currently, he is a Brazilian manager, as well as the former head coach of the Greek club Aris. The famous retired footballer played 35 internationals for Brazil's national team, winning the 1989 Copa America, 1994 FIFA World Cup, and the silver medal at the 1988 Olympics.
