Tottenham close to signing Sevilla’s Bryan Gil

They are on the verge of reaching an agreement with both players on personal terms and putting pen to paper. Sevilla fans were not pleased to see their talented prospect depart and they took it to social media to express their discontent.

in Tokyo with La Roja at the moment, came through Sevilla’s youth system before going on loan spells at Leganes and Eibar, impressing with his fleet-footed style and significant approach.

Lamela, who is nine years older than Gil, made a move to Tottenham in 2013 and has performed well there. The Argentina international is thought to be a better fit for Julen Lopetegui’s system than 20-year-old Gil.
