West Ham winger Felipe Anderson close to signing for Lazio

West Ham winger Felipe Anderson is hoping to seal a return to Lazio this summer after falling out of favor under David Moyes.

Tuttomercatoweb claims that the Brazilian is interested in completing a transfer to the Serie A side within the next week, in time to take part in a full pre-season for the Italian side.

The 28-year-old signed for the Premier League side in July 2018 for a reported fee of €38m after a five-year spell at

Lazio

between 2013 and 2018.

But he failed to impress and

West Ham

boss

David Moyes

made it clear that the winger was not part of his plans last season by sending him out on loan to

Porto

.

Anderson failed to produce a single goal or assist in ten appearances for Porto and was only handed one start in the league. This shows that he does not deserve a chance to redeem himself at West Ham and that the right time for him to leave the London-based club.

According to reports, West Ham and Lazio have reached an agreement over the free transfer of Felipe Anderson, but the Hammers will receive 50 percent of a potential future sale.

Felipe Anderson made 177 appearances for Lazio during his first spell with the Serie A club, scoring 34 goals and providing 39 assists.
