Milan keen on Real Madrid full-back Alvaro Odriozola

AC Milan are interested in signing Real Madrid right-back Alvaro Odriozola this summer.

As Stefano Pioli aims to bolster his team ahead of the 2021/22 season, the

Serie A

powerhouse have already boosted their defensive alternatives with a permanent transfer for Chelsea's Fikayo Tomori.

Pioli is concerned about the full-back position, and according to Marca, he has identified Odriozola as a viable possibility if Diogo Dalot cannot be retained.

Last season, Odriozola was widely linked with a transfer away from Real Madrid as he was deemed surplus to requirements following his season on loan at Bayern Munich in 2019/20.

Despite interest from his old club, Real Sociedad,

Zinedine Zidane

chose to keep him as a reserve backup.

Despite Zidane's departure, the 25-year-old's status has not changed, and Milan might potentially make a move.

Los Blancos are willing to sell but will want a transfer price of around €10 million if discussions proceed in the coming weeks.
