Scott Parker terminating his contract at Fulham after relegation

Scott Parker failed to prevent Fulham from going back to the second tier and therefore is now in the process of finalizing the mutual termination of his contract at the club.

Fulham

head coach

Scott Parker

was unable to prevent Fulham’s relegation from the

Premier League

this season.

Although his current contract at Craven Cottage expires in the summer of 2023, he is in the process of finalizing the mutual termination of his contract.

In the meantime, Fulham are looking for a potential replacement and Parker is getting ready to take over the charge from Jonathan Woodgate, whose contract expires on July 1, at

Bournemouth

.

Parker played 128 games for Fulham from 2013 to 2017 and then in February 2019 was appointed as their head coach on an interim basis after a stint as their assistant manager.

He failed to prevent the west London club from being relegated to the

Championship

at the end of the 2018/19 season, but then after taking permanent charge that summer he was able to steer the club back to the Premier League at his first attempt by beating Brentford in the 2019/20 play-off final.

Fulham then won just five games in the last season in the Premier League and then they were struggling for consistency for the rest of the campaign.

Fulham, West Brom, and Sheffield United are now going back to the second tier for the next season.
