Barcelona and Real Betis reach a compromise over Juan Miranda

The Blaugrana and Real Betis have reached an agreement over a transfer for loanee Juan Miranda.

Juan Miranda

joined

Real Betis

on a loan deal from

Barcelona

when the 2020/21 campaign started, after not getting game time in Catalonia.

However, notwithstanding speculations of Los Verdiblancos not being interested in making the Spain U21 international’s deal permanent at first, they have reached a compromise recently. The Blaugrana will pay the left-back €600,000 in compensation as he is on his way to join Real Betis on a free transfer.

According to

Marca

, Manuel Pellegrini’s side included an option in their last contract to be able to extend the 21-year-old’s loan spell for another two years. His contract in Barcelona will be over then and he has the option of signing an extension at the Estadio Benito Villamarin for another year until 2024.

A percentage of Miranda’s sell will go to Barcelona; however, that option will expire when the 2023/24 season ends.
