I don't know if Klopp will turn down a Bayern offer – Weidenfeller
Former Dortmund goalkeeper urges Klopp to take the job at Allianz Arena.
Hansi Flick
announced a few days ago that he will part ways with
Bayern Munichat the end of the season. The Bavarians are looking through the possible options to find Flick's successor and it appears that the Germans have their eyes on
Liverpoolboss,
Jurgen Klopp
.
Former
Dortmundgoalkeeper
Roman Weidenfeller
, who worked under Klopp at Signal Iduna Park between 2008 and 2015, has now urged the German tactician to take the job at Bayern if an offer comes.
In an interview with
Sport 1, Weidenfeller said:
"If the situation arises like this, I don't know whether he will turn down a second Bayern offer.
"Jurgen was already in conversation with Bayern before he landed in Dortmund. It's the next step for Jurgen, as long as he still wants to be on the pitch every day."
Liverpool are currently standing sixth in the Premier League table, fighting for Champions League qualification and, despite the rumors, the boss Jurgen Klopp insists he is more determined to stay when things get tougher.
"I’m here as a football coach and manager, and I will do that as long as people let me do that,"
the German said.
"I heard that I will resign or whatever. If times get even tougher, that makes me even stickier that I will stay here."
