Tare: ‘when Inzaghi returns he will sign his contract’
After Lazio’s game against Napoli, Igli Tare talked about their game, the Super League, and Inzaghi’s contract.
director
Igli Tare
first talked about their 5-2 loss against Napoli on Thursday with Sky Sport Italia.
“Qualifying for the Champions League is certainly important for our future, especially in the current times we live in. Unfortunately, it’s not in our hands, but we came here to win,” Tare said.
“The way the team plays and their determination gives me great confidence. We had an excellent run in the Champions League, apart from the last 10 minutes against Club Brugge, when there was a great deal of tension. We know it’ll take time, we have a long-term aim and mistakes help us to learn.”
He then talked about the
Super League
and the chaos it caused.
“It was a shocking and chaotic week. Football belongs to the people, it is passion. All this must never be lost, but fortunately, things got back into shape quickly. Some important considerations must be made on the future of world football and we need clarity.”
He also confirmed that
Simone Inzaghi
will extend his current contract as soon as he recovers from COVID-19.
“We already said, when Inzaghi returns he will sign his contract. He is a very vivacious, energetic person, so self-isolating at home he feels like a caged lion. We speak daily and he is working well from home.”
