Rangnick backed by DFB vice president for being Germany coach

According to the DFB vice president, Ralf Rangnick is suitable for the manager role in Germany national team.

Herrmann Winkler

is confident

Ralf Rangnick

is a great successor for Joachim Low as the

Germany

coach.

"

He has often proven that he's right man strategically - especially at Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig. And he doesn't come from the DFB circle of influence,"

Winkler told the

Leipziger Volkszeitung

.

He added:

"It's also about youth development and the overlap between youth and senior players. Rangnick is fully capable of handling that task

."

German Football Association (DFB) vice president also revealed his thoughts about the Germany general manager Oliver Bierhoff and how he may not be the right man to lead ‘Die Mannschaft’ to a fresh start.

"He worked with 'Jogi' Löw for 17 years. That says it all. I hope that his personnel proposals for the Germany coach position will be evaluated by the presidium and that we will have alternatives in the process."

Rangnick has also caught the attention of

Eintracht Frankfurt

, so the DFB might have to compete for the 62-year-old’s signature.

Based on recent reports, the favourite to replace Low is

Bayern Munich

coach Hansi Flick.
