Florenzi tests positive for COVID-19

The PSG defender will miss his side’s Champions Leauge clash against Bayern Munich.

Alessandro Florenzi

has tested positive for COVID-19. The player has returned from international duty with Italy and he was isolated ahead of his team’s clash against

Lille

on Saturday.

Marco Verratti

, who was also part of Italy's squad for their recent World Cup qualifying matches, tested positive for the virus on Friday. Both players will miss PSG’s Champions League quarter-final clash against Bayern Munich on Wednesday. The Italian full-back is also expected to miss his side’s league game against Strasbourg on April 10 due to France's COVID-19 protocols.
