Firmino returns to training following his knee injury

The Brazilian did not feature against Fulham, RB Leipzig, and Wolves due to injury.

Roberto Firmino

may play for

Liverpool

when they lock horns with

Arsenal

as he returned to training. The 29-year-old missed the Reds’ last three matches as he was dealing with a knee injury. However, the Brazil international was seen training with the squad on Monday, being in prime shape.

Jurgen Klopp

has been enduring a tough season as the reigning champions struggled to defend their

Premier League

title. They were pushed back by the injuries, with Virgil van Dijk sustaining a knee injury that saw him out since October. However, they are aiming for the

Champions League

now.

Klopp joked with shot-stopper Alisson, who came back to training having shaved his beard but kept the moustache, and compared him with Reds legend Ian Rush.

Liverpool may be able to seal a spot in the top four, as they sit five points adrift of

Chelsea

in the fourth place. After taking on Arsenal on Saturday, they are set to go against

Real Madrid

in the Champions League quarter-final’s first leg.
