Tottenham wants Vinicius Junior less than half of the required fee

Although the Brazilian has bagged six in nine Europa League appearances, he is yet to score a Premier League goal, and the £36m but option in his loan deal from Benfica is considered too much by the Premier League club.

According to

Mail Online

, although the Spurs are eager to keep the 25-year-old in their squad for next season, talks have already begun between the two clubs and the player’s representatives to agree on a reduction of his possible transfer fee.

With the player willing to stay in London, the £17m fee Daniel Levy has offered is just £2.5m more than Benfica spent to sign him from Napoli in 2019. Hence, Benfica will wait until the summer to decide on Vinicius Junior’s future.
