Haaland is Laporta’s number one target
Erling Haaland, who has long been linked with a move to Barcelona, is reportedly Juan Laporta’s priority for the upcoming summer transfer window as Barcelona’s new president hopes his good relationship with the Norwegian’s agent, Mino Riola, help him seal a deal.
The 20-year-old striker has scored 31 goals this season as he established himself on almost every elite club’s wish list and according to AS, has become Joan Laporta’s number one target.
In addition to Haaland, Laporta is keen to hijack Real Madrid’s target, David Alaba, who can join a new club on a free transfer this summer. It’s been reported that Laporta has met Alaba’s representatives, Pini Zahavi and Fali Ramadani, to ask them to hold out and refrain from closing a deal with any other club as the Spaniard believes he holds the advantage over Real Madrid.
Eric Garcia, Memphis Depay, and Sergio Aguero are Laporta’s other targets for the upcoming summer as he will try to offload Philippe Coutinho and Antoine Griezmann to retain the needed fund.
