Benfica offers €3m-per-year contract to Diego Costa
Costa is currently a free agent looking for a club in Europe.

Diego Costa, the former
Atletico Madrid striker, has received a salary offer of 3 million euros per year from Benfica.
Costa, who terminated his contract with Atletico Madrid in December, is still looking for a new club. Benfica intend to strengthen their attacking line for the rest of 2020-2021 season by attracting Diego Costa.
Now
Goalhas confirmed that they have offered Costa €3 million in annual salary for two seasons. On the other hand, given Benfica's extraordinary history, Costa is also eager to finalize the transfer.
While Manchester City, West Ham and Tottenham were looking to sign Costa in January, the Spanish international striker turned down all three offers. Sao Paulo and Palmeiras were also among the teams that offered the Brazilian-born striker, but he intends to continue playing football in Europe.
He has scored 181 goals in 474 appearances, the last of which came from the penalty spot in Atletico's shirt against Elche in December.
