“Only a maximum of 10 clubs can afford to buy him” - Mino Raiola

Borussia Dortmund forward, Erling Haaland drew a lot of attention this weak after scoring two goals in Champions League victory against Sevilla.

The 20-year-old has scored 43 goals in 43 matches for the German team and both

Barcelona

and

Real Madrid

are eyeing him as a potential future transfer target.

The Norwegian player’s agent, Mino Raiola has now insisted that only 10 teams, which he didn't name, can financially afford him, with four of them based in England.

Whether

Real Madrid

or

Barcelona

are named in such a list is unclear, neither of them are in a financial position to sign such players without firstly sanctioning sales from their respective first-team players.

Raiola informed

BBC Sport

, in comments carried by

Cadena Cope

:

“Only a maximum of 10 clubs can afford to buy him [Haaland] and give the platform you would like after you’ve been in Dortmund… and four of those clubs are in [England].

“I don’t think there’s a sports director or trainer in the world who would say ‘not interested’. It’s like saying: ‘Is there a Formula 1 team who would not be interested in having Lewis Hamilton?'”
