Parker slams Knogolo’s surprise birthday party as ‘not acceptable’

Fulham manager Scott Parker has said Terence Kongolo’s surprise birthday party was unacceptable and Fulham will launch an in-house investigation into footage of the defender breaching COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.

However,

Kongolo

claimed that he did not know his 27th birthday party had been planned.

"I think like anything you can imagine my reaction to it was not pleased in the current climate, in terms of what everyone is facing,"

Parker

said in a pre-match press conference

.

"It's not acceptable, to be honest with you.

"In terms of Terence, he didn't know too much about it, (that) is my understanding, and the people who planned it put him in a vulnerable position."

The defender, who has recently returned from injury will not be available in

Fulham

's clash with

Sheffield United

but will feature for the under-23s on Friday.

Parker added

: "Terence won't be involved this weekend no, he's playing today for the under-23s."
