An unnamed Hibernian player tested positive for Covid-19

A Hibernian player is self-confining in the wake of contracting Covid at their home, the club has affirmed.

The anonymous person doesn't show any symptoms and has not been inside the club's arena or preparing grounds since he got a positive Covid result; he will be in quarantine for ten days after coming into contact with infection at home.

The player will presently go through a 10-day separation period and will miss Hibs' next home match against Hamilton on Saturday; however, he could be back as expected for the side's next game at Easter Road against Motherwell on February 27.

Hibs sits third in the

Scottish Premiership

standings, four points clear of Aberdeen in fourth and 12 behind second-put Celtic after 28 matches.

Jack Ross' men have won their last three fixtures, beating Dundee United, St Mirren, and Aberdeen.
