Kwadwo Asamoah: ‘I’m happy to be here in Cagliari’

Former Juventus and Inter player Kwadwo Asamoah is thankful for the opportunity given by Cagliari and vowed to help the Casteddu in difficult times.

as a free agent on a short-term deal which lasts until the end of the season.

“I’m happy to be here in Cagliari,”

he said at a press conference.

“I thank everyone who gave me the opportunity to make this choice.

“Cagliari are a great team and I’m happy to have had the opportunity to come here to play.

“The team are well structured, there are both experienced and young players.”

Asamoah has made 270 Serie A appearances over his long spell at Italian football, including 134 games for Udinese between 2008 and 2012.

“I will be able to lend a great hand, because in my opinion we lack nothing to do well,”

he continued.

“We are going through a difficult time but we will overcome it together.

“I can play in many positions, but the coach will decide. I’m ready to give my best for the team and the city, that’s what I know how to do.

“In Serie A, you must stay positive and always give 100 percent.”
