Hibernian's Alex Gogic lays out a blueprint for a dream start to 2021
The midfielder is preparing to become a father again as he eyes Hampden glory.

Hibernian’s second goal in the 80th minute of their Saturday victory against
Kilmarnock. The player dedicated the goal to her yet-to-be-born baby girl who is expected to be born in late February. Right around that time the Hibs will play the Betfred Cup final and Gogic hopes that his team’s success in that match will mark a perfect start for his start of the new year. In a post-match interview after his team’s 2-0 win over the Killie, Gogic has spoken about his hopes for a perfect 2021 start.
“My missus is pregnant and we’re expecting a baby soon. So that goal and celebration was for her. We’re having a girl. It’s our second and we already have a boy so we’re both happy!
“It’s something exciting for us look forward to at the end of February.
“It’s a big week for us with the semi-final, we need to win that. We’ve been there before and we want to take the next step this time and get to the final – and then the baby will be here.
“I’ve got it all planned out! I just hope it all goes like that.”
Asked about his team’s performance against Kilmarnock, Gogic responded:
“This win was important as we had a bit of a downfall with the defeats against Ross County and Livingston.
“So, it was good to get the three points and keep a clean sheet to get back to winning ways.”
