Gagliardini claims Inter is ready for ‘tough’ Crotone

The 26-year-old midfielder believes Crotone can cause Inter troubles as they have shown that they can play good football recently.

Roberto Gagliardini

said in an interview with Inter TV before the game: “

There is great enthusiasm, we come from an important string of wins. We’ve been able to celebrate with our families at home, and we’ve had a few days off.

“We’re back in training, we’ve had a chance to train hard and we’re ready to take on this game.”

The Italian went on to set goals and objectives for 2021:

“Definitely to get to April and play all the way. We have all the potential, and we have to do something better than last year, we will try to give everything on the field.”

Although

Crotone

are currently 19

th

in the Serie A table after 14 games,

Gagliardini

believes the newly-promoted side can cause the Nerazzurri problems.

“It’s a difficult game, a bit like Spezia. They’re both newly-promoted but they’ve both shown they can play good football, be proactive and not feel the pressure of Serie A.

“I think it will be a tough game to face. I think it’s going to be a tough game that we have to approach in the right way.”

“We are well both physically and mentally, and we trained well during the break. We’ve come from seven wins in a row and it’s important to keep this streak going, also because we’re playing first. Our goal is to be up there, it’s still too early to look at the table. But we have the potential to stay at the top until the end.”

Gagliardini

has scored two goals and provided two assists in his 14 appearances for

Inter

this season and his current contract runs until 2023.

A win against

Crotone

is crucial for

Antonio Conte’s

men if they want to compete keep up the pressure on the Serie A leaders,

Milan
