Former Real Madrid youth coach becomes Tokushima’s manager
Real Madrid’s former youth coach, Dani Poyatos, has been appointed J2-League champions’ manager.
Dani Poyatos
started the current season as
Panathinaikos’
manager, but soon he was sacked due to his poor performance as his side only bagged one point from their opening three games.
The 42-year-old will replace
Ricardo Rodriguez
who left the Shikoku-based club for the J-1 League side,
Urawa Reds
.
Rodriguez
led his side to the J-2 League’s title and second promotion of their history.
Vortis will face
Gamba Osaka
on Sunday in the semifinals of the Emperor’s Cup, and
Poyatos
is expected to sit on Tokushima’s bench for the first time during the match.
