West Ham boss eager to sign £16m man on loan
David Moyes wants West Ham United to sign Barcelona bench-warmer Junior Firpo on a loan-to-buy contract.
While
Junior
is not the most disastrous big-money signing
Barca
have made, he is not close to justifying his £16 million price at the underperforming Spanish giants.
Firpo
has performed just 30 minutes of La Liga football in 2020/21, failing to display any sort of challenge for the aging Jordi Alba at left-back.
After a year-and-a-half on the
Barcelona
bench, Firpo figured out that he must leave the Camp Nou if he wants to play normal first-team football again.
Luckily, there are several teams interested in the Ex-Spain U21 international who, in his spell at Real Betis, was seen as one of the most impressive young full-backs in the game.
West Ham
boss,
David Moyes
is intrested in the athletic, attack-minded man, and would undoubtedly take the chance to sign
Firpo
on an initial loan contract in January.
The Hammers take on challenges from Serie A title-chasers Napoli and a Granada side who, despite being advanced to Spain’s top flight of 2019, will be in Europa League knockout-stage football next year.
