Iniesta out for 4 months

Andres Iniesta was injured in the semi-final match of The Asian Champions League.

According to Diario Sport,

Andres Iniesta

, current midfielder of Vissel Kobe underwent an operation on Tuesday. There is a tear in the rectus femoris muscle in his right leg and he is expected to be missed out for up to 4 months.

He is playing for the Japanese side Vissel Kope who are currently 12th in the Japanese league.

Vissel Kobe

reached the Semi-final stage of the Asian Champions League in the match in which Iniesta got injured and in the end, they failed to get a victory and reach the final stage.

Iniesta flew to

Barcelona

from Qatar. He is expected to be discharged from the hospital in the coming hours. The Spanish midfielder spent 16 years in Barcelona before leaving the Spanish giant for the Asian side, Vissel Kobe in Japan. He won nine La Liga titles and Four Champions League trophy and also two European Championships and world cup with Spain national team.
