Rangers fined for late kick-off against Benfica by UEFA

Rangers have to pay €10,000 after last month’s Europa League match against Benfica delayed kick off

The 2-2 draw at Ibrox on November 26 didn't start on time and UEFA has penalized the Scottish team.

This late kick-off made trouble for the boss Steven Gerrard, but proceedings against him were stopped.

The decision of the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body means the fine must be paid within 90 days.

Rangers

have been fined by UEFA for the second time after they violated "

Return to Play

" guidelines during their Europa League play-off match against Galatasaray.

They were faced with a €5,000 fine after they reportedly created an error in following new rules regarding stewarding zones for European competition.
