Real Madrid should choose between Camavinga and Pogba
Real Madrid in doubt about choosing between Eduardo Camavinga or Paul Pogba this summer.
Reportedly, Coach Zinedine Zidane prefers the more experienced
Pogba
, while president Florentino Perez and the Madrid hierarchy favor the younger
Camavinga
.
The problem is in the salary difference.
Pogba
wouldn’t join the Santiago Bernabeu for less than his pay at Manchester United, which is apparently around €15m and in the same level as Sergio Ramos and Gareth Bale get.
Camavinga
is earning €2m at Rennes.
The current contract of both run out in the summer of 2022 and are expected to get a proposal between €50m and €80m.
Pogba
’s agent, Mino Raiola has recently admitted that his client desires to leave Manchester United, a plan which will lower his value in an already depressed market.
United is said to be keen on
Camavinga
, who is highly sought in European football circles.
However,
Pogba
has massive commercial value, having signed a ten-year contract with Adidas, Madrid’s sponsor, worth €40m back in 2016.
