Olunga scored his 26th goal as he pursues the golden boot

Kenyan striker continued his goal tally to help Kashiwa Reysol beat Vegalta Sendai 2-1 in J-League.

Although only six matches left to the end of the season,

is keen to score more goals as he’s moving forward through the golden boot contenders.

goal of the season in the 60

minutes with a right-foot strike.

This is Olunga’s third goal since leaving self-isolation after their camp reported six coronavirus positives in late October.

In an interview after the 4-1 defeat against

Kashima Antlers

, Olunga said his target is to score more goals in the remaining six matches as well as warning it will not be an easy task.

“Each and every game is very tough but I try to give my best,”

Olunga told reporters.

“I thank my teammates for creating space and scoring opportunities for me. I will do my best in the last six games, push and see [how many goals I will score].”

who are second with four matches to go.
