Godin tests Positive for COVID19 too

Diego Godin seven games tested positive for COVID19 and will miss Cagliari’s match against Juventus.

Cagliari’s

last seven games tested positive for COVID19. He has been the latest COVID19 case in

Uruguay’s

national team after Luis Suarez and Lucas Torreira.

So the 34 years old will miss his side’s clash against Juventus in Serie A.

Club have also revealed that

Nahitan Nandez

will not be used against Juventus despite returning a negative test due to his interaction with Godin and Suarez.

Cagliari’s boss has talked about the situation. he blamed the officials’ decision about the national break.

"Preparing for the match without knowing what conditions players will arrive affects everything," Di Francesco said. "I now think these matches for the national teams cannot go ahead. 

"I think my complaint is shared by many colleagues. But we look to tomorrow with optimism. Whoever plays will have to prove that they are fit."

Cagliari stands in the 11th place in Serie A. they have won three of their last four games but now they see a real challenge ahead of them as they have to play against last season’s champions without two of their important players.
