Marcello Lippi: I have already finished coaching

The Italian coach will not coach any team in the future

Former Italy national team coach who won 2006 FIFA World Cup said he has already finished coaching. As he said "I’m definitely done with coaching".

Lippi has been unemployed since November 2019 when he left his career in China National Team which means he has retired after 30 years.

He started working as a coach in U19 at Sampdoria and continued his glorious years with Atalanta, Napoli, Inter and Juventus. Then he was appointed as the Italy national team in July 2004.

The respected Italian coach has won five Scudetti, one Coppa Italia, four Supercoppa Italiana titles, one Champions League, one UEFA Super Cup, and one Intercontinental Cup with Bianconeri. His greatest victory is 2006 World Cup with Italy in Germany.

Lippi did not mean that he completely has nothing to do with football and hopes to "be useful in other roles" in the future.

Lippi told Radio Sportiva "I’m definitely done with the coaching job. That’s right, it’s enough.

“Maybe I could be useful in other roles, let’s see. But nothing until spring".
