Guardiola denied Real Madrid clause in Haaland's contract

The Norwegian star has had the best possible performance in the Premier League and Champions League in recent weeks.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola claimed that there is no cancellation clause for Erling Haaland to join Real Madrid in 2024.

The Norwegian star left Dortmund in the summer and joined Manchester City, while the La Liga champions were monitoring his situation. The former Real Madrid player Fernando Sanz has claimed that there is a termination clause in Holland's contract that allows the Norwegian star to leave the Etihad Stadium and join Real Madrid at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Now Guardiola emphasized that there is no such clause in the Norwegian star's contract.

"It's not true, he has no release clause for Real Madrid or any other team.

"It's not true, what can I say? I have the feeling he is incredibly happy here. We will try with him and the others to make him happy."

Alf-Ing Haaland, Erling's father, recently claimed that his son intended to play in all major European leagues, including La Liga. He added:

“I think Erling wants to test out his capabilities in every league. Then he can stay in every league for three to four years maximum.

“He could have two-and-a-half years in Germany, two-and-a-half in England, and then in Spain, Italy, France, right?
