Real Madrid set to extend Karim Benzema's contract until 2024

The French forward played an important role in Real Madrid's last year's triumph in Champions League and La Liga.

Karim Benzema is about to renew his contract with Real Madrid. The French star won the La Liga and Champions League last season and won the championship in both cups. He was also able to become the second-best scorer in the history of Real Madrid. Now, reports indicate that Los Blancos are on the verge of renewing the contract of the French star.

The French star scored 27 goals and 12 assists in 32 La Liga games last season and scored 15 goals in 12 Champions League games. He also managed to win the title of the best player in Europe for the last season.

Benzema joined Real Madrid in 2009 and during this time he managed to win 4 La Liga titles and 5 Champions League titles and is also known as the second best scorer in the history of the club. Now, Fabrizio Romano has reported that the club intends to combine Benzema's success with a contract extension.

In fact, Real Madrid is sure that Benzema will win the Ballon d'Or this year, and therefore plans to extend his contract for another year after receiving this title from the French star.

Benzema was invited to the French national team last year after a long time and is expected to play an important role in the composition of this team in the World Cup.
