Dybala on Cuadrado’s goal and his Juventus contract extension

The Argentina international admitted that Juan Cuadrado’s goal was by accident, whereas he revealed that his deal with the Bianconeri has to wait. ‘The club has more important things to sort out right now.’

Juventus

have pulled off a dominant display as they had 12 shots on target, meeting the back of the net with

Juan Cuadrado

curling in from the corner and

Paulo Dybala

’s late angled drive.

I think we dominated the game. Cuadrado’s goal obviously calmed us down a bit, but we should’ve finished it off earlier and brought home the points in a more relaxed fashion,”

Dybala told

DAZN

.

La Jota also talked about the Colombia international’s ‘Olympic Goal’ from the flag.

“He told me it was meant to be a cross!”

The 28-year-old is running on a rich vein of form right now, having also scored against

Salernitana

and is satisfied with the new 4-2-3-1 formation.

“You asked me the same question after Verona. I always try to be in good shape, playing every three days it can be difficult to always be at 100 per cent, but I try my best.

“We know what we need to do and must continue along this path, to get as close as possible to the top teams.”

The Argentine’s deal will reach its end in June 2022 and he was quizzed whether this may be the right week to pen the extension, but he referred to the issues off the field as there is an investigation going on into inflated transfer fees.

“I think the club has other things to sort out right now, so the contract renewal can wait. What’s happening elsewhere is more important.”
