Rodgers rules out Manchester United rumors

Leicester Boss insists that he has no intention of joining the Red Devils.

Manchester United

has been looking to sign a new manager after parting ways with

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

following his poor performance as the Red Devils’ head coach and

Leicester City’s

manager

Brendan Rodgers

has been one of the options for the position, but now he has ruled out any links between him and Manchester United insisting that he is happy at Leicester City and that he is focused on his goals at King Power Stadium.

The high-profile manager has talked about the matter at his press conference ahead of his side’s Europa League clash against Legia Warsaw, insisting that he is not interested in becoming Manchester United’s manager.

Asked about the rumors linking him with a move to Old Trafford, Rodgers said:

“I don’t take it as anything, it’s not real.

“There’s always gossip and that will be there until they appoint a full-time manager.

“My commitment is to here. The culture here is about the development of the players, and that’s where I see it, even more so in this period.”

The Red Devils’ other option is

Paris Saint-Germain

head coach,

Mauricio Pochettino

, who is said to be keen on a move to Old Trafford, but there are even more candidates to take the job, including

Barcelona’s

former manager

Ernesto Valverde

, so we have to see who will become the next boss of Manchester United at least for a short period.
