Ibrahimovic to pen a new contract at Milan

The veteran striker is planning to sign an extension contract with the Rossoneri that will keep him until June 2023, as per reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Milan

will negotiate with

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

for a new contract in the January transfer window.

Ibra is Rossoneri’s highest earner with a salary of €7m per year and his contract is due to expire in June 2022.

The striker is happy at Milan and the

Serie A

giants are also satisfied with his displays. The two parties will negotiate to reach an agreement without any problems.

Ibrahimovic met the back of the net three times in eight games this season and is keen on staying put for another year.

As per recent reports, the veteran striker is aiming to feature in the

2022 World Cup

in Qatar next year.

Milan are also looking to finalize contract extensions with Theo Hernandez, Rafael Leao and Ismael Bennacer before they open talks with Ibra.

The Rossoneri are prioritizing Alessio Romagnoli and Franck Kessié’s extensions but the dup will most likely not pen new deals at San Siro as they plan to depart when their contracts expire.
