Klopp ruled out Keita for Atletico match

The Guinean midfielder will probably be out for a while due to injury.

Liverpool

boss Jurgen Klopp has claimed that Nabi Keita may not be available for Wednesday's game against Atletico Madrid.

The Guinean defender, who suffered an injury to Paul Pogba during the 5-0 win over Manchester United, played just 19 minutes against Brighton and was ruled out of the match against Atletico. Klopp did not provide much information about Keita, but claimed that he may not be able to accompany his team to the match against Atletico.

He told Club's website:

"He told me, he showed me [the] hamstring. So, I don't know, we will see; obviously [Sunday] or the day after he will have a scan and then we will know [the extent of the injury].

"But if somebody feels the hamstring, it would be the first time that he is ready for the next game. So, I can't see that."

Keita, who has suffered a number of injuries at Liverpool, has been in good form and performing well in recent weeks, and the injury will be a severe blow to him. His absence will continue to hurt Liverpool, and the team could have a problem with the number of midfielders.
