Sarri confirmed Guardiola's comment on Atalanta

Lazio's tight schedule has upset the head coach.

Lazio

boss Maurizio Sarri criticized his side's game schedule and also confirmed Guardiola's talk that playing with

Atalanta

was like going to the dentist.

Sarri's team will have to face Lazio tomorrow, while they played against Fiorentina on Wednesday and now they have to play the next game in less than 72 hours. Criticizing the game schedule, Sarri spoke about the difficulties of confronting Atalanta and confirmed Guardiola's statements in this regard.

“We play the third game in a row with less than 72 hours rest, it hasn’t happened to other teams,” the Tuscan coach said at a press conference.

“We travel to Bergamo to face a strong team. Atalanta are very aggressive, as Guardiola says, it’s like going to the dentist, even if you come out unscathed, you still feel the pain.

“Atalanta are an example in terms of club’s organization. They’ve made clear choices, they are a source of inspiration for the whole movement.

“However, we are Lazio and we must take a similar path in terms of choices, but different from the technical points of view.”

Sarri added on the opportunities he has given his players

: “Ciro didn’t have many opportunities against Fiorentina because the team was focused defensively, our main issue.

“Vedat Muriqi is training well. After the Bologna match, he wasn’t happy about his and the team’s performance, but I know nothing about rumours about [a move to] Fenerbache.

“We don’t have many options on the wings. We have Romero and Rul Moro, we are really young, they can’t be given too many responsibilities, it’s ok to introduce them during the games for now.”
