Rodrygo wants more after impressing in El Clasico with Madrid

The Brazil international played in 50 games in La Liga with Real Madrid when they went against Barcelona in the El Clasico.

Rodrygo

revealed that he is not quite “pleased” after impressing for

Real Madrid

in the Clasico victory over

Barcelona

and wants to thrive with the Spanish giants.

Los Blancos are sitting second on the La Liga table after their remarkable 2-1 win over the Blaugrana on Sunday, making their gap with their rivals five points.

David Alaba

and

Lucas Vazquez

found the target for Real Madrid but the Brazilian also showed off an astonishing display on the right wing as he was enjoying his 50th appearance for his side.

He is in the starting XI instead of Eden Hazard currently as they compete for the title, but he does not plan to rest on his laurels.

"

I'm not satisfied with the Clasico, I want more,"

Rodrygo told

Goal

.

"Reaching 50 games in La Liga is something very important for me.

"I am young, this is only my third season and I have already reached such a milestone. I hope to continue, always with the aim of helping Real Madrid win.

"I'm happy to reach these figures and I will work to reach others. We are in a very good moment, the team has evolved and the trend is to improve more and more, with each game."

He joined the La Liga side on a €45 million (£38m/$52m) fee in 2019 from Flamengo, and met the back of the net 11 times for his side, with two of them coming this season; he also contributed 12 assists.

For Madrid’s battle against Osasuna on Wednesday, Rodrygo will try to be in the starting line-up for Carlo Ancelotti.

Real Madrid will then get ready to face Osasuna on an away fixture on Saturday.
