‘It was foul’ – Stefano Pioli complains about FC Porto’s goal

‘It was foul’ – Stefano Pioli complains about FC Porto’s goal

The Italian giants remain winless in their first opening three Champions League games

Luis Diaz

scored the winner for

Porto

as they kept their Champions League knockout hopes alive but dealt

AC Milan

a huge blow with a deserved 1-0 Group B win at the Estadio do Dragao on Tuesday.

Taremi

looked to collide with Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer as both attempted a high pass, which finally dropped to Diaz on the edge of the box, where he fired low into the net.

Stefano Pioli was left disappointed with the referee’s decision after the game.

Before entering the tunnel, he stopped to talk to referee Felix Brych, clearly telling him ‘

It was foul, it was foul

.’

The Rossoneri have had a bad run with referees in the Champions League. Last month, Turkish referee Cüneyt akr gave Atletico Madrid a contentious late penalty kick, contributing to Milan's 2-1 defeat.

The Rossoneri will only be able to qualify for the next round if only they manage to win their next three games.
