Roma eyeing move for Barca’s Puig
The Barcelona youngster is among Giallorossi’s transfer targets.
Having made his senior debut in April 2019,
Riqui Puighas struggled to get game time at Barcelona under Ronald Koeman. Puig is yet to start a game for Barcelona this season, with the 22-year-old featuring in only four games for the Catalan side.
According to
Sport.es
, Jose Mourinho is interested in signing Puig on a loan deal in the winter transfer window.
The Portuguese coach was keen to bolster the Giallorossi’s midfield in the summer, but his efforts to sign Granit Xhaka failed as the Swiss midfielder decided to stay at the Emirates Stadium.
Amadou Diawara and Gonzalo Villar are also rumored to be linked with Roma, but the Spanish source insists the pair don’t fit in Mourinho’s plans.
Roma are currently fourth in Serie A with 15 points from their seven matches. Mourinho’s side will face Juventus in their crucial league game on Sunday.
