Denmark secured their place at 2022 World Cup

The second European team also advanced to the World Cup.

Denmark

reached the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with a 1-0 victory last night against Austria.

With just two games left in the World Cup qualifier, Denmark tops the table with seven points ahead of Scotland. Joakim Maehle scored the winning goal for Kasper Hjulmand's side to become the first Group F team to travel to Qatar.

Last night, Denmark faced Franco Foda's team, knowing that winning this match would secure their place at the top of the table. Following Scotland's draw with the Faroe Islands, a draw was enough to secure Denmark's place in the World Cup. However, they continued their great process and won the match. Denmark have won all their games so far and have not conceded a goal. With 27 goals, they have averaged 3 goals per game.

Denmark is the second European team to reach the World Cup. Before them, Germany secured their place at Qatar with a 4-0 victory over Northern Macedonia. Apart from these two teams, the only team whose participation in the 2022 World Cup is certain is the host, Qatar.
