Rooney’s son scores four goals for Man Utd's youth team

The 11-year-old is following the footsteps of his father at Old Trafford, making exceptional progress in the Red Devils’ academy ranks.

Manchester United’s youth team were defeated 5-4 by Liverpool, in a night that saw

Kai Rooney

score all four of his side’s goals. Being the son of Man Utd’s all-time top scorer, Kai has a long road ahead of him at Manchester United. However, he has already shown impressive development in his game, evident in his recent performances for the Red Devils.

Rooney junior signed a youth contract with Manchester United in December 2020. Wayne Rooney published an Instagram post at the time, expressing his happiness about the move.

"Proud day. Kai signing for Man Utd. Keep up the hard work son."

the Man Utd legend wrote.

Kai is playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo’s son, Cristiano Jr, at Manchester United's youth team. Cristiano Jr was under a youth contract at Juventus’ academy, but he moved to Man United upon his dad’s return to the club.
