defender Achraf Hakimi explained his reasons for rejecting Chelsea's offer for a summer transfer.
The Moroccan star left Inter for Paris over the summer and became another big PSG signing. Inter were forced to sell him due to the financial crisis and had two offers from Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. However, Hakimi preferred to go to France and now explained his reasons for the transfer.
He told told L’Equipe:
“I had two offers. One from Chelsea and one from Paris Saint-Germain. But I felt I had to come to Paris, that I would have been happy there.
“PSG is a great club, I really appreciate the support the fans gave me straight away. I was lucky because so many other champions joined me.
“I feel good at PSG, we have a dream team and I’m happy to be a part of it.”
In one season at Inter, Hakimi managed to score 7 goals and send 11 assists to his teammates, and played an important role in the team's championship in Serie A.
