Roma defeats Udinese with Abraham’s goal

Abraham’s early goal secures a 1-0 victory for Roma against Udinese.

Mourinho’s

men, who took the lead against

Udinese

in the early minutes of the game with

Tammy Abraham’s

back-heel goal, managed to keep their fragile lead throughout the game, and they gained the three points although they will be without

Lorenzo Pellegrini

in the derby match against Lazio because he was sent off in their victory night.

Roma

was without Matias Vina and Leonardo Spinazzola, but they still managed to bounce back from their last match’s defeat with Riccardo Calafiori at the left side alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan in a game that Mourinho was also without Ilija Nestorovski and Jens Stryger-Larsen, who was not 100 percent fit.

Udinese was defeated in a game that they weren’t the weaker side at all as they conceded the goal on a counter-attack, and they missed very good scoring opportunities, especially the one that Gianluca Mancini rejected with a remarkable interception as Gerard Deulofeu got past Rui Patricio and was going to give Pussetto a scoring chance two yards away from goal. It wasn’t Deulofeu’s only danger for Roma as he had other chances too, but on the night that Roma seemed lucky to win the game, they faced a very bad incident as Pellegrini was sent off, receiving his second yellow card and missed their important Serie A clash against Lazio.
